The Gather team is building a portfolio of products that use a human-centered, data-informed approach to empower everyday journeys by transforming the way people digitally interact with their vehicles and each other. As a Senior Product Designer at Gather, you will be joining the ground floor of a growing team of cross-functional digital experts in design, product, and engineering. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping the user experience of our new mobile app as we grow our product from 0-1.  

We are looking for a highly collaborative team member with a fanatical focus on the customer, and experience designing for data-powered connected products in areas of disparate systems and processes. 

*Responsibilities* 
- Closely collaborate with Product, UXR, and Engineering to understand user needs, product objectives, and technical capabilities 
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to visualize and communicate design concepts, and iterate on designs based on feedback and user testing 
- Develop detailed annotations and specifications for seamless handoff to engineers and QA 
- Communicate design decisions effectively to squads, justify design choices, and advocate for the best user experience 
- Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and evolution of a cohesive visual design system 
- Stay up-to-date with design trends and best practices to create modern and engaging interfaces

*Experience* 
- 3-5+ years of product design experience and a compelling portfolio showcasing your ability to maintain a high bar for quality at scale 
- Track record of achieving success in collaborative cross-functional squads 
- Detailed problem solver with deep understanding of user experience principles, design thinking methodologies, and best practices 
- Strong visual design skills, including proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma) 
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams 
- Ability to thrive in an iterative, fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities 
- Passion for creating innovative and impactful user experiences
