About Network & Acquiring Solutions

As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS), the Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to support every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. The American Express Network enables over $1.6 trillion in annual spend, serving our Issuers and Acquirers in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year Enterprise Payments program to bring all payments together into a center of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs.

The Network Capability Delivery team within NAS delivers new technical solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks and adapt to local needs while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments.  A role in the Network Delivery team will challenge you to broaden your skillset and industry acumen in a collaborative, diverse and inclusive team environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Delivery Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of Multi-Rail Payments initiatives across platforms, domains, and lines of business. The role will work closely with multiple partners across Product, Delivery, and Technology to transform payments at American Express with a focus on leading delivery across the teams that are integral to the success of the Multi-Rail Payments Network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cross platform product delivery for medium-to-high complexity initiatives.
  • Ensure value-delivery and proper sequencing of initiatives to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Document and maintain delivery plans through partnership with product, Technology, and all key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and Technical Program Managers to identify and coordinate cross-platform dependencies and delivery plans.
  • Manage impediments, risks, dependencies and resourcing needs across stakeholders and senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Aggregate and drive end-to-end Program Increment (PI) objectives into cross-train Release objectives to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to prioritization discussions and pressure test plan for feasibility, capacity, and risk.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, New Product Development, Business Partners, and Architects to help assure strategy, vision and road map alignment and execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes & experience:

  • 7+ years of Program Management experience developing and managing complex programs / projects / products.
  • Possess a high degree of technical savvy, with a keen ability to learn about new technology quickly and easily.
  • Proven ability to influence and gain alignment at all levels of the organization including senior leadership.
  • Superb communication, facilitation and collaboration skills across band levels, locations, and time zones.
  • Ability to translate strategy into clear and specific objectives and plans.
  • Experience managing the full product management lifecycle that requires a deep understanding of business domain and technical expertise in payments - a plus
  • Experience in Agile / SAFe principles and frameworks quality and testing best practices.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
