Squad Lead (Product Analyst)

You will work directly with Squad members to prioritize the backlog and ensure the timely delivery of capabilities to our customers. You are someone who knows how to leverage Customer feedback, market and competitive analysis, and technical data points to drive the strategy based on the overall value we are delivering to our customers. You are passionate about representing the voice of the customer, whether internal or external, and make sure that Squad members understand their needs and preferences. You will collaborate and communicate with other Squad Leaders to make tradeoffs that maximize overall value to our customers. You will partner with Discipline Leaders to align the right talent and technology solutions to drive results and customer outcomes. You will work to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing at all levels of the organization to break down siloes and achieve the best results for Fidelity.

You will be responsible for…
Enabling WI’s transformation to an Agile and frictionless organization
- Modeling behaviors to support WI’s transformation including participating actively in agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning meetings, demos and retrospectives
- Actively creating and maintaining the culture within your Squad Team based on Fidelity and Agile leadership behaviors
Delivering business results and customer value
- Defining and delivering against Tribe/Squad specific KPIs
- Specific and measurable KPIs to be defined for each Squad
Setting an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad’s work
- Work with Tribe Leaders to help develop the vision and strategy and ensure your squad stays aligned on business goals and is progressing and delivering business results and customer value measured through specific KPIs
- Prioritizing the backlog of user stories that the Squad will deliver upon, you will work across the enterprise to assess interdependencies with other Squad Leaders, align sequencing of deployment and readiness activities.
- Translating this understanding into a clear vision for your Squad to inform and prioritize the work
- Sharing information about the Squad’s output and priorities with other Squad Leaders to ensure alignment across the organization
- Working with Operations, Phones and other functions to define and execute required readiness activities
Overseeing what is delivered by the Squad and by when
- Writing epics and user stories to seed product backlog in order to begin the grooming process
- Based on KPIs that align to business value/ROI, prioritizing work through a wellorganized backlog of user stories, and clearly communicating what needs to be done and by when
- Defining and clearly communicating acceptance criteria for output based on business and customer needs (also providing elaboration on themes and features in order to define description and acceptance criteria throughout backlog grooming)
- Making tradeoff decisions to strike the right balance between product quality, cost, and delivery timelines, as needed
- Inspect the progress at the end of sprints with the authority to accept or reject work done
- Ensuring the squad has established critical quality controls and your team is focused on quality of delivery and customer experience.
Supporting and enabling the Squad to get its work done
- Working with leaders to align the talent needed to get results and customer outcomes
- Regularly engaging with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and answer questions
- Working with group functions, shared services, and other partners to make sure the Squad has what it needs to do its work
- Removing blockers or impediments that prevent the Squad from progressing on its work
Developing and coaching Squad members
- Partner with leaders to recruit and retain key talent, and build a strong culture for Squad members
- Working with leaders provide feedback on Squad Members to help improve individual and Squad performance

SPS Product Development supports the business and technology work streams that deliver against approved initiatives including new products for emerging markets and enhancements to existing products.
