American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and support that helps companies of all sizes gain financial savings, control, and efficiency. We provide a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. The Global Commercial Services Marketing team is responsible for creating an end-to-end global marketing strategy and distribution plan for our prospect & customer segments around the world.

The Global Investment Capabilities team plays a crucial role in delivering this mission, supporting the efforts of the entire Global Marketing team by enabling the evolution of our Investment Management processes. This candidate will be responsible for A&P budget management and tracking, collaborating closely with our Global Supply Management (GSM) partners. In addition, this candidate will play a critical role in strengthening our investment management tools by spearheading design and testing to drive the business towards state-of-the-art investment optimization capabilities. This is a highly visible role in the Global Marketing team as this person will be a key partner in driving efficiencies and will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the marketing organization and finance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Function as a subject matter expert for A&P Budget Management and Tracking.
  • Develop and own relationships with key partners in Finance and GSM
  • Focus on understanding the needs of marketers & other key partners to ensure a great customer experience.
  • Partner closely with a broad set of IO stakeholders and the Finance Capability Development team to deliver against core needs and identify data opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings with the internal capabilities production team to drive prioritization.
  • Craft detailed and engaging training materials regarding new or enhanced IO Management capabilities for GCS Marketing. 
  • Perform system testing, parallel run testing, and any other testing required to ensure the build meets the pre-aligned requirements prior to deployment. 
  • Lead ad hoc projects to drive process efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Initiative-taking individual with excellent collaboration and influence management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify and translate complex business processes to business partners.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with marketing measurement plans and metrics.
  • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to excellence.
  • Enthusiastic, process-oriented with ability to prioritize and deliver on ad-hoc business projects while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively on a collaborative team.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IBM Planning & Analytics tool (TM1) is a plus.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
