American Express, the world's most respected service brand, has outstanding opportunities for project analysts working within the Credit Strategy & Transformation organization! You will be an integral part of our Global Servicing Group where we support customer interactions across many different channels (online, chat, social media, phone, etc.). The role includes application of thought leadership and innovation to enable process improvement opportunities. The team acts as an internal business consultant to support our operations partners with improvements, optimization, and strategy.
How will you make an impact in this role?
Responsible for participating in the development of project plans and timelines, ensuring projects are efficiently completed. They also collaborate to outline project objectives, requirements and realization.
- Enable creation of project plans and timelines, serving as a liaison across multiple workstreams
- Review project schedules, ensure tasks are completed on time
- Collaborate with team members and partners to assemble project objectives and requirements
- Review and evaluate project findings to ensure they meet project requirements, regulatory standards and desired results
- Monitor project priorities and resource allocation
- Track project progression and update project documentation
- Identify and detail risks and issues that may affect project success, and propose mitigation strategies
- Conduct project status meetings and provide updates to project collaborators
- Conduct data analysis and build reports to facilitate risk assessments, identify potential issues and help program leadership to make informed decisions
- Collaborate with project team members to identify areas of process improvement and make recommendations for change
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with business partners to collaborate on project strategy and execution
- Collaborate to document cost-benefit analysis, customer journeys and process mapping
- Collaborate with partners to define key performance metrics and supervise for project efficiency and effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in Project Management principles: project governance, planning, issues management, execution and enablement; experience with data driven recommendations, impact assessments and outlining business justifications
- Enthusiastic and creative individual committed to delivering results within strict timeframes
- Ability to challenge upwards, lead and/or influence teams without direct authority
- Demonstrated experience to independently drive projects and initiatives to completion
- Effective communication inclusive of active listening, and communicating information clearly and concisely to leadership and peers (verbally and in writing)
- Excellent collaborative and remediation skills
- Critical and lateral thinking
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Business or Engineering Bachelor's or advanced degree, preferred
- Confirmed experience in Credit functions; process improvement or consulting roles, issues management and capability results
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
