Position Summary:

 Assemble or modify electrical or electronic equipment, such as electrical panel, switches kits, motors, or hydraulic cylinders and test equipment e.g. telemetering systems, electric motors, center drives. Safety First- Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.

Essential functions:

  • Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses
  • Responsible for accurately measuring and precisely cutting materials involved in the assigned work
  • Operates CNC machines to meet parts per hour requirements
  • Work at different work stations as production needs require
  • Must be able to do simple setups, change punches and die sets, bits and saw blades
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders, to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.      
  • Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
  • Ability to work with other team members to accomplish the job
  • Must follow all safety rules and regulations, including the reporting of any hazards, violations, or injuries.
  • Must operate safety equipment/devices and help provide a safe working environment by maintaining good housekeeping practices
  • Ability to maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment by cleaning, lubricating and adjusting parts.
  • Assist in accurate and timely inventory control management both physically and transactionally
  • Other duties as assigned by his/her manager to ensure the best possible Safety, Quality and Cost deliverables for Lindsay.
  • Must be able to Communicate in English                  

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of metal cutting and punching processes and equipment.
  • Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
  • Math skills including good understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to read tape measure, calipers and ability to read blue prints drawings.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Trained in forklift operation a plus or willing to be trained in this area
  • Trained in Overhead Crane Operation or willing to be trained in this area
  • Must be able and willing to program all CNC Equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate with supporting resources such as Software support and Equipment Technicians.
